Storyline: Terry Long asked Robin for help. Donna wouldn't marry him until she'd uncovered her past. He wanted the Teen Wonder to help her out. The three got together and went through her memories. She remembered being a victim of an apartment fire, and being rescued by Wonder Woman. Since there was no record of her parents (the landlord said the apartment was not rented), Wonder Woman was appointed the girl's legal guardian, and Donna was taken to Paradise Island and raised by Hypolyte. Using their purple ray, the Amazons gave the girl their own powers.
At the ruins of the apartment building (which had been rebuilt, but was being torn down again), Robin found a doll. Wonder Girl felt a familiarity to it. The doll led him to a toy repairman, which led to an old orphanage. He tracked down the woman who'd run the orphanage and called Donna to meet him. They found the woman in a retirement home. She had answers: Donna's (which was her real name) mother gave her up for adoption - she had terminal cancer. A couple named Stacey adopted her. Donna and Dick drove to the town where they'd live and found Fay Evans (remarried widow of Carl Stacey) at a house she remembered. After her husband died, a lawyer took Donna from her and placed her in an abuse home.
As Donna relived the past with her first adoptive mother, Dick (as Robin) went to find answers about the second set of adoptive parents. The orphanage had been shut down due to illegally selling children. The lawyer's go-betweens had been the ones that died in the fire.
Dick and Donna visited her birth mother's grave. He called Kory.

After the ceremony, Dick and Bruce talked about Jason and adoption. Lilith and Diana both got strange feelings. Some of the original Titans discussed forming a Titans West. Dianna took Donna and Terry upstairs - Queen Hippolyta had been granted to leave the island (as long as her feet never touched the ground). Donna and Terry flew off in the Dayton private jet.

Cover Date: December 1988
Subtitle: Who is Wonder Girl chapter one: Home Again
Writer(s): Marv Wolfman, George Perez
Artists(s): George Perez, Romeo Tanghal
Storyline: A strange old woman in a hooded cloak searched for Donna Troy. She had a picture of her as a child. She tracked Donna to her office, then home. Inside her apartment, she found other pictures, including one with the Titans.
The Titans returned to the Tower after being gone for three weeks. As soon as they got in, a silver orb which Danny was playing with exploded into several alien creatures. Donna was injured, but the rest of the team was able to defeat the creatures, which disappeared. As Raven began to help heal Donna, the cloaked woman appeared saying she was a friend.
The woman gave Donna her memories - the apartment fire she'd experience as an infant, the orphanage, growing up. Her memories then began to wash away. The woman told her everything after the fire had been planted inside her. Her first real memory after the fire was creating a costume and joining Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad. The woman told her she'd not existed on Earth until joining with the original Teen Titans.
The old woman passed out. As soon as she hit the floor, the Tower was back in the shape it was before the alien attack. They told Donna she'd been staring at the woman, but they'd not been talking. The woman, now dying of old age, told them she was Phoebe, goddess of the moon. The Titans of Myth were dying.

Storyline: Jericho possessed Phoebe and allowed her to continue her story. When the Titans of Myth were cast out by their children, the Olympian Gods, they founded a New Chronus. Thousands of years passed, and the Titans realized they were losing power and could no longer reproduce. Rhea, who's husband was slain by their son Zeus, left New Chronus to find others to empower. She was the one who'd saved Donna from the fire.
Each child was given powers and taught by the Titans. When they turned 13, they were all returned to their home worlds and given false memories - they were not to remember their lives on New Chronus so they would not think themselves superior to their peers. After they reached adulthood, they would return.
One of the children, Sparta, retained her memories and was driven mad by them. She conquered her home planet and made herself queen. She sent spheres carrying assassins to the homeworlds of each of the empowered children. She also forced the Titans to stay on New Chronus. Phoebe alone was able to escape. She found Diana, but realized she was empowered by the Olympians.
Phoebe gave Donna two travel spheres before she faded away. Joey got out before the Titan died. The New Titans decided to split up and take the travel spheres out to find the other remaining children of the Titans. Nightwing, Starfire, Jericho, and Cyborg took one; Wonder Girl, Gar, and Raven took the other. Donna's orb arrived at it's destination and they picked up Xanthi, who lived on a deadly acidic planet. The assassins out to kill him were immediately killed by its atmosphere. They headed to New Chronus.

Storyline: With the Titans out, Danny took it upon himself to enlist a "B" team. He found it odd that Robin's (Jason) status was listed as "unknown" when he'd spoken to him the previous week. Speedy contacted the Tower looking for help with the Invasion.
Nightwing's team was taken before the leader of the unknown (to them) planet they'd landed on - Athyns. He ordered them to be executed, but the aliens who'd attacked the Tower arrived and began blasting. Jericho got into the leader and the Titans got back into their orb safely before the planet exploded.
Donna's team neared New Chronus, but they encountered hostile ships en route. Some sort of force field opened and let the Titans in, but closed and destroyed one of their pursers. The Titans of Myth welcomed two of their own. Their children were given their entire set of memories from the first time they were on New Chronus. Raven remarked to Coeus that she felt at home - their planet was much like Azarath.
As the second Titans orb neared New Chronus, it was caught in the tractor beam of one of Sparta's ships. At the same time, Athyns awakened and began using the orb against his captors.
Raven teleported into the orb and attempted to help her team. The orb was damaged and hurtled planetward.

Storyline: Raven used her soul-self to get Starfire out of the orb and safely to New Chronus. The others appeared to have been lost.
On a nearby planet called Synriannaq, Nightwing, Cyborg, and Jericho (in Athyns' body) waited. They'd been able to escape the orb in time. Victor was able to take the wing off one of the search ships looking for them.
Gar took form of a green beast native to the nearby planet and was teleported there. Dick and Joey found Victor - he was strung up and en route to being executed in a nearby city. Nightwing and Jericho-as-Athyns attempted to free him; Starfire, Raven, and Changeling joined the fight. Sparta mistook Raven for the third "seed;" Starfire was blasted by one of the ships. She absorbed it and shot it back. Athyns' memories were returned to him and he began fighting alongside the Titans.
Xanthi was killed saving Athyns from Sparta.

Storyline: Terry, Donna's husband, showed up at the Tower to find out what was going on. Danny told them the Titans had left the planet with some god.
The people of Synriannaq began to believe Sparta had gone mad. On New Chronus, the Gods told the Titans that they needed three to destroy Zeus' curse. Dick realized that the three were Troy, Athyns, and Sparta.
Starfire attacked Sparta with full intensity. With her weakened, Raven absorbed the would-be god into her soul self along with Troy and Athyns. The two were able to grasp the madwoman and the Gods returned to their glory.
Sparta's mind was completely lost. Athyns, since he had no world in which to return, was invited to stay with the Titans of Myth. Donna was given another gift...

Dick learned of Jason's death and visited his grave with Kori. After Danny nonchalantly talked about it, Dick took it out on him.
In the cave, Batman questioned why Dick wasn't at the funeral. Thinking he was being blamed for Jason's death, Bruce punched his former ward in rage. He told Dick to leave and give his key to Alfred on the way out.
Vic headed to San Francisco to visit Sarah. Dayton told Gar he was going to enroll in public school and he could not be a Titan until his grades were acceptable.
