| Storyline |
Batman and
Robin were caught in the middle of a dangerous gang war. Batman asked
Robin to take the next few nights off while he took care of it alone.
Huntress did some surveillance on a mob boss, preparing to take him down.
While at a friend's birthday party, Tim witnessed a store clerk getting
attacked. He helped the man and his daughter, Ariana. He went out later
(without Batman's permission) to see if anything else happened there. A
group went in with force. Robin swooped in and was confronted by the
KGBeast. The Beast shot and killed Ariana's father; their gang left with
the girl. Robin gave chase, but was cornered by Lynx and the Ghost Dragon
gang. Huntress gave him a hand with them and got Robin to safety. He
agreed to work with Huntress on the case, even though he knew nothing of
the vigilante. Lynx reported to Sir Edmond Dorrance (King Snake). The next
morning, Tim was questioned by his school counselor as to why he often
came to school with cuts and bruises. Huntress and Robin busted up a
casino run by the Russian mob they were tracking. He caught one of the men
that captured Ariana and was told she was dead. He returned home angry and
with more bruises. Tim and his father had a major blow up - Jack was
trying to get closer to Tim, but his son was hesitant due to him never
having time previous in his life. He figured out who Huntress was and
waiting in her apartment for her. They went out for the Russians and were
attacked by the KGBeast. They teamed up on him and dropped him out of a
window. They next day, Tim's father told him he was being sent to boarding
school in Metropolis. Robin and Huntress check out printing presses (the
Russian mob was printing counterfeit moneys). KGBeast caught Huntress;
Robin found Ariana alive. He then rescued Huntress and they fled. The
Ghost Dragons burst in on the scene and began shooting up the place. King
Snake got his wish and had the privilege of fighting KGBeast. He easily
defeated the Russian. Robin marked the money, and offered it to Dorrance
for save passage. The Ghost Dragons loaded up the worthless money and
left. |
