storyline Toyman and the General went to rob Gotham's biggest toy collector. Robin intervened when Toyman turned on his partner. Robin was able to rescue Armstrong and take both criminals down. The only casualties of the General's war were the collector's toys.

storyline Tim escaped Ariana's Uncle Vari's wrath and went out as Robin. Spoiler caught up with him and told him about the Ghost Dragon incident. The next night, they went out to take the gang down, but were only able to bust up some of their merchandise - none of the Ghost Dragons were captured.

storyline Robin investigated a crime spree where the perpetrator was dressed as a popular children's TV character, Crocky the Crocodile. The investigation led to another children's TV personality which had dropped in the ratings due to Crocky's popularity. He helped Sheriff Shotgun Smith take the man down.

storyline Robin tried to follow his friend Ives, but lost him. At school the next day, Tim learned Ariana's uncle transferred her to an all girls school. Ives' secret came out - he went out nightly in a mask, as Ricky the Rat at a children's fun park. Robin went to look for Spoiler, who'd been captured by Titus Czonka, an associate of her father's, calling himself Baffler.

storyline Baffler caught and tied Robin up in a building that was set to be demolished the next morning. Czonka later tripped and knocked himself out. Robin got free and helped Spoiler and Czonka to safety. The two vigilantes delivered him to the police. When Tim returned home, his father was back. He'd heard from Ariana's uncle, and Tim was grounded.

storyline Grounded and confined to his room, Tim learned of a hostage situation in town from TV. While mowing the next day, Bruce told him about how it went down. Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong, aka The General, hooked up with Arabs preparing for war with a neighboring country while they were in town at an arms show.

storyline With his father away, Robin snuck out. False Facers on an arms deal got into a shootout with the police. The perpetrators split up; police followed the False Facers, Robin followed the buyers. Young El, the boy who killed one of Tim's friends at school, was in the car he chased. It wrecked and Tim chased the boy into an abandoned building. Young El was caught inside when it collapsed. Tim was unable to save him and he died.

storyline Tim, still beating himself up for Young El's death, learned Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong was leading a nation to war in the Middle East. He asked Nightwing to help him out, and they borrowed a WayneTech prototype jet. Robin parachuted into the middle of the battleground.

storyline Jack Drake reported his son missing. With Robin going in to capture the General, Nightwing used the plane's gun power to take out a dam. The ensuing flood separated the armies. The General was ousted by the country he led and was arrested for treason and murder. Nightwing dropped Tim off in Paris to get in touch with his spiritual side.
