Helena
Bertinelli is now a teacher in Gotham City. Her alter-ego, The Huntress,
sought out Tough Tony Bressi. Huntress was defeated in one of her raids,
but was rescued by Detective Sgt. Dan Holtz. Holtz let her free when she
awakened and asked her to partner with him - he wanted her to go after
Vince Spano, the man who'd kidnapped and raped her as a child. On the
mission, Huntress met up with an assassin named Redzone, the brother of
Omerta the Silencer (the man who killed Helena's entire family). She
barely escaped him; Redzone reported back to his boss - Bressi. Huntress
tracked Spano so Holtz could take down Bressi, but Holtz used her - he
knew what Spano meant to her. Redzone got into Helena's apartment building
and waited for her. She arrived shortly and there was a struggle. She
baited him into one of her traps and went after Holtz. Holtz told her
they'd already picked up Spano, and that he was going to testify against
Bressi. She attacked Holtz and barely escaped when other cops saw what was
going on. She found Spano in the safehouse where Holtz had taken her.
Redzone was there waiting for her. They were both badly injured in the
fight, but Holtz showed up and saved her. Redzone and Spano were both
killed in the shootout. |
