was left alive as a warning to the rest of the police. He asked

care of the case without the aid of Batman. Renee Montoya got a
call on another frozen body. |

Driver and Charlie Fields went in on some possible kidnappers to
find Mr. Freeze. Fields was hit with the freeze ray, but Driver
was left alive as a warning to the rest of the police. He asked
Akins not to shine the signal - he The second frozen body turned
out to be Freeze's associate, Danny. Questioning known associates
got the GCPD nowhere. After also getting nowhere with local
diamond merchants, they heard from a street thug about $20 million
in diamonds stolen from a Russian mob. Driver realized from what
Freeze said that he was going to hit the GSU graduation ceremony.
He asked Akins to call in Batman. Batman was able to take down
Freeze as James Gordon was awarded an honorary doctorate in
criminology. After the ceremony, they got word about the kidnap
victim Driver and Fields were originally investigating - she was
found dead.the department to take care of the case without the aid
of Batman. Renee Montoya got a call on another frozen body. |

Instead of taking
some personal time after the loss of his partner, Driver took on
the kidnap (now murder) case with a new partner, Romy Chandler.
They learned the ransom note was sent after the time of death on
the girl. Her parents were questioned, as were the family she was
babysitting for. Firebug hit again, this time an apartment
building. Batman was able to get everyone out of the building
safely, but Firebug escaped. |

went to question two boys that had been reportedly bullying the
girl. They ran. After tracking them down, the detectives learned
they had no idea the girl was dead - they'd only taken a batarang
from her that she'd picked up when Robin made a quick appearance
at their school. GCPD moved in on a Firebug suspect; he jumped
from his apartment building. |

Driver and Fields
questioned the homeless man from the park where the dead girl was
last seen. He claimed friendship with the girl and had no reason
to kill her. The Firebug suspect lived, though he had two broken
arms and a broken leg. He claimed innocence - he'd sold his
costume two years previous and was now out of the game. The man
who the girl was babysitting for was fingered by the man as the
buyer of the suit. They got him to confess - she'd found his
costume and he'd killed her with it. |

Renee Montoya was
served papers - a man who got off on a rape charge was suing her
for $10 million. A robbery case was dropped on Crispus Allen. The
PI who'd investigated Montoya was found dead in his office; his
employer and presumed killer was missing. A picture of Montoya
kissing a woman was posted on the precinct bulletin board. |

Renee began to get
crap about being a lesbian. Sawyer learned she was being
investigated by Internal Affairs. Montoya spoke with her brother -
her parents also got a copy of the picture and were devastated.
Lipari, the man who was suing Montoya, confronted her outside her
girlfriend's apartment building. The acquitted rapist threatened
the woman. Renee destroyed his camera and left. Lipari was killed
in his apartment later that night. |

The gun which killed
Lipari was traced back to Montoya. Heroin was found in her
apartment, which appeared to have been taken from Lipari. She was
arrested. IAD questioned her girlfriend, Daria Hernandez. She
confirmed that Montoya and Lipari had an altercation the night
before. Renee was informed that Lipari was dead, killed by her
gun. She was officially charged. Allen came to speak to her and
she told him she thought Two-Face was setting her up. |

Bruce Wayne sent his
lawyer to represent Montoya. They entered a not guilty plea.
Crispus was introduced to his new partner, Josephine MacDonald
(Josie Mac). Montoya's prison transport was attacked and she was
taken by men in masks. MacDonald found where a car had hit a
mailbox and located the car in the precinct parking garage. They
found blood in the trunk and traced it back to the last officer
who'd driven it. Montoya awakened in Harvey Dent's care. |

officer. Two-Face admitted to hiring Lipari and killing both him
and the PI. He hoped Renee would stay with him since she had no
life to go back to. Batman arrived and subdued him; all charges
were dropped against Montoya. She went to see her parents, but
they disowned her. |

Commissioner Akins in his office, the Mayor Dickerson was shot
dead by a sniper. While MCU were on the scene, Superintendent
Purnell was shot on a playground. That night, while cleaning up
the scene at the school, the police were attacked. Josie Mac
spotted the location. Inside the apartment, they found a dead body
and a laptop with a Batman for mayor graphic. After hearing the
report, Central turned on the signal. Batman arrived in time to
save Probson from being hit. The signal was shot out as Batman
told them Joker was behind it. |
