Storyline

Superman 1: Heart of Stone
Superman learned that the rocket he'd been sent to Earth in had turned up missing. Three months later, he picked up the trail. It led him to a seemingly abandoned laboratory with lead-lined walls. He broke in and found what appeared to be a shrine dedicated to him. He also found a man who'd been dead for weeks. His fingerprints matched those found in the truck which moved the rocket. In an acid vat, he found traces of human remains. Hoping to keep his secrets from everyone else, Superman pulled up the entire facility and flew it into space.
He returned to Earth and met Lois for a jog in the park. During their run, Lois heard a bank's alarm - it was being robbed. They rushed in to get the story and were attacked by a hulking man calling himself Metallo. Clark got knocked across the room, which allowed him to change into character. Superman appeared and went after Metallo. During their fight, Superman felt his power fading. Metallo told him he'd been crippled in a car wreck and rebuilt (by the scientist Superman found dead in the lab). He had Kryptonite implants. Lois heard this and learned Superman was an alien. Superman became completely drained, then Metallo simply vanished.
Lois confronted Superman about being an alien, and he told her he'd only found out weeks before.

Action 584: Squatter
Cyborg was in Metropolis and saw Superman attacking buildings for no reason. He went to check on things and realized the Man of Steel was drunk on his own power. Cyborg tried to stop him, but was dismantled. He called in the Teen Titans. Superman made quick work of Changeling then went after Wonder Girl. Jericho possessed him, and a guy came forth to say he was Superman. They'd been transferred by an amateur scientists named Gunderson. Superman was trapped in Gunderson's crippled body. The Titans got the two back to Gunderson's home and used the device to put things back right.
Luthor read about the situation in the papers and realized Kent got all the good Superman stories. He figured there must be some connection between the two.

Superman 2: The Secret Revealed
Luthor spoke with his people. He set up teams to track both Superman and Clark Kent. He also had some people check out a woman who seemed to appear each time Superman did. Down below, in the lab, he visited Metallo, who his agents had captured earlier during his fight with the Man of Steel. Luthor removed the Kryptonite that powered him.
The Kent team tranquilized Clark's parents and ransacked their home. They found a scrapbook devoted to averted disasters and Superman. On their way out, a woman saw them. They grabbed her and took her back to Metropolis with them.
Superman noticed a flying device tracking him. He caught it and it self-destructed. Back at his apartment, Clark found bloody footprints leading from his door to a janitor's closet. Inside was Lana Lang - she'd been tortured, but she hadn't given up his secret. Superman found the men who'd snatched her, but Luthor detonated the building. Superman went after Luthor, who admitted he was behind it all. His new Kryptonite ring kept the Man of Steel down.
Superman returned Lana to Smallville and was astonished his parents were still alive (he figured Luthor's people would have killed them). They told him about the stolen items (yearbooks, birth certificate, etc.).
One of Luthor's aides presented him with the conclusion from their data - Clark Kent WAS Superman. Luthor laughed in her face and dismissed it all.

Adventures 424: Man O' War
Lois Lane visited her mother, Ellinore, in the hospital. Her sister, Lucy, and her father, Sam, were there. Lois and Clark were later called into Perry White's office and introduced to Catherine "Cat" Grant - a new reporter. Cat and Clark had immediate attraction to each other. They headed to lunch and found a nearby building which had been bombed. Clark, using his x-ray vision, saw two survivors in the rubble.
Another building was blown up - the "Freedom League" took responsibility. As Cat and Clark interviewed a Professor Hamilton (he'd created a device which could perfectly shield a human from harm while activated), the bombing robot continued its attack. Superman flew to the scene. Several robots (with human controllers inside) attacked Superman. They then joined together to form one large robot.
Lois Lane, while leaving the Daily Planet building, was abducted by one of Lex Luthor's men. Luthor told her he felt responsible for her mother, as he owned the lab in which she was injured. He and some of his top scientists had developed a serum which would save her life if she took it monthly. Lois agreed to take it and agreed to have dinner with him. After seeing her away, he confided with one of his employees that he'd causes her mother's illness and he could have created a one-time use cure for her if he so desired.

Adventures 425: Going the Gauntlet
Professor Emil Hamilton went to Lex Luthor about his invention - Luthor demanded the blueprints by 9pm that night - he owned the company Hamilton was working for, therefor owned his work. That night, some men broke into Hamilton's apartment and roughed him up. Hamilton went to the police, but without proof of Luthor's involvement, their hands were tied. Another firm approached Hamilton and offered funding. He perfected his device and ran a demonstration for them. It was sabotaged and a man was killed. Hamilton went into hiding.
He learned Superman was fighting robots and went to his aid. Hamilton's force-field machine created a barrier holding Superman and the robots, so that nothing outside would be damaged. Superman broke into one and found the people inside were committing suicide - their life energies were powering the robots. After Superman's victory, Hamilton was again shunned.
He took a hostage and called out to Superman. Superman saved both the hostage and Hamilton from his insanity. The genius professor was placed in prison.

Action 585 And the Graves Give up their Dead
The Phantom Stranger looked on as Metropolis was under attack. A woman calling herself Arathaza had drained Superman's power. He was able to grab her magical staff and shatter it, causing Arathaza to revert back to Barbara Kowaleski. Her floating temple faded away and Superman's powers returned. Phantom Stranger was waiting for him in Clark Kent's apartment when he returned. He told the Man of Steel he had a task for him. He took Superman to a huge mountain of a beast. Superman attacked it, but it spoke back - Superman stopped his attack when he realized the thing was living. Phantom Stranger tried to get those thoughts out of his head, and entered the creature. Inside, he did battle with the undead while Superman stopped the physical beast on the outside. He stopped it from advancing toward Metropolis, pulled it from the ground, and threw it into space.
Phantom Stranger refused to tell Superman any details.

Superman 3 Legends from the Darkside
Lois Lane arrived at G. Gordon Godfrey's hotel room for their interview. Darkseid sent Omega Beams to Metropolis to bring him Superman. Clark Kent ended up in his presence. Darkseid tossed him through a window. When he landed, Clark realized Darkseid must be behind the G. Gordon Godfrey situation on Earth.
Superman attempted to hide himself among the peasants, but was forced out when one was to be executed. A Pacifier was summoned to deal with him. Superman was able to get the creature (a glommer) out of it's suit, but it took over his nervous system and flew them into a fiery pit.

Adventures 426 From the Dregs
Superman was pulled from the pits. Amazing Grace (the woman he'd saved previously) convinced the "hunger dogs" he was their savior. Darkseid sent parademons after them. Superman, not quite himself, followed Grace's lead. A war broke out between the hunger dogs and Darkseid's parademons.
Darkseid was pulling Superman's strings.

Action 586 Champion
Two of the New Gods, Orion and Lightray, headed toward Apokolips. Superman was convinced he was Darkseid's son. Superman was sent to combat the New Gods, but Orion broke through the mind-warping and brought Superman back. Superman defeated Apokolips' ruler, and was boom-tubed back to Earth before he could do any more damage.

Notes, references to time, and chronology:
Superman crashed to Earth 28 years previous to chapter 1: "Then, twenty-eight years ago, I was proven right! I saw a spaceship come from out of the great black depths. I tracked it all the way down to Earth, to Kansas."
Jericho is a member of the New Teen Titans.
The "Promethium Incident" is mentioned in Adv 424 (possibly referencing The New Teen Titans 9-10?).
Dr. Fate is mentioned by Superman in Action 585, also, it appears that Superman and the Phantom Stranger know each other.
The last three issues take place during the Legends crossover.
