Green
Lantern Hal Jordan attempted to stop an assassin
(Reg H'rr - the Igneous Man) who'd been hired to
kill him. Russia's Rocket Reds joined the assault
against the GL. They were after the same refugee
he was. The Igneous Man began attacking both the
Reds and Russian jets. The Reds mistook GL's attempt
at help for an attack on the jets.
Hal woke up from his dream. Oliver Queen stopped
by his place for a visit. They discussed the Freedom
of Power Treaty which illegalized American meta-human
activities in countries who signed it. Hal mentioned
that John Stewart was currently undercover.
On the planet Vorn, Sinestro recruited Arkillo for
his Sinestro Corps and gave him a yellow power ring.
Hal and two of his fellow pilots were given POW
medals for their bravery after being shot down on
enemy turf. Tomar Tu's ship crashed into their ceremony. |

On
Oa, Jordan and several other Green Lanterns attended
the injured Tomar Tu. He awakened long enough to
verbalize his plans to kill Jordan. Tu had been
one of the Lanterns that Jordan killed on his way
to Oa years before while possessed by Parallax.
Kilowog had to step in when several other GLs attacked
Hal for his betrayal. Hal was taken before the Guardians.
He wanted to scour the universe in hopes of finding
other Lanterns he believed he'd killed - if Tomar
Tu was alive, they could be, too. His request was
denied. They did not want someone so emotionally
attached involved - the Manhunters could be awakened.
They were the only things known in the sector from
which Tomar Tu's journey originated. On his way
out, Hal lied to Guy so he'd go with him.
In Paris, the new Crimson Fox was after Double Dare.
She was approached by members of the Global Guardians
for membership. She denied them due to her connection
to Green Lantern.
Guy and Hal arrived at the edge of sector 3600 and
headed toward 3601. They found Biot - the Manhunter
homeworld. As they attacked, Hal realized some weren't
robotic - blood was on his hands. They found several
captured GLs and were attacked by the Cyborg Superman. |

Salaak
went to Kilowog with the news that Jordan was disobeying
a direct order and could be dishonorably discharged.
Hank Henshaw (the Cyborg Superman) was wearing several
GL rings and attacked the two Earth representatives.
Alan Scott saw a broadcast of Crimson Fox, who'd
joined the Global Guardians. She wanted Green Lantern
brought to justice. He called Oliver.
Jordan was hooked up to Henshaw's system. His body
was being processed and prepared for becoming a
Willhunter. He fought back and began freeing the
other Lanterns: Ke'haan, Laira, Chance, Honnu, Graf
Toren, General Kreon, Boodikka. They all awakened
without knowing time had passed since their "deaths."
They stopped attacking him when they realized he
wasn't fighting back. They began noticing dozens
of other lost Lanterns all around them (including
Arisa). A huge Manhunter seemingly powered by Guy
Gardner approached them. |

Hal
fought not only the physical threats approaching
them, but also the vision of himself standing over
Arisa's grave. Cyborg Superman told him her species
didn't die - they shut down, heal, and evolve.
Hal and Arisa continued bashing Cyborg Superman,
while the others focused on the Manhunters. Hal
ordered Guy (who was freed of his Willhunter) to
get everyone off the planet. He and Arisa were place
in a Willhunter together, but were able to use their
power to override it. They blasted out and destroyed
the planet.
Back on Oa, Guy covered for Hal (he was a member
of the Honor Guard). For it, he was given one month
of Prime Duty. Jordan urged the Guardians to expand
into sector 3601 so they could watch over the Manhunter
world, but they would not.
Guy was taken to his new post: guarding Superboy
Prime along with dozens of other GLs. |
