In
the year after killing Black Mask, Selina Kyle
moved to downtown Gotham City. After becoming
pregnant, she changed her name to Irena Dubrovna.
Ms. Dubrovna had a baby girl and named her Helena.
Catwoman (Holly) made a move on some guys who
were stealing video cameras. She took them out
and learned they were getting the cameras for
a filmmaker.
Angle Man learned Catwoman was back in town
and planned on killing her. The police were
also after her for the Black Mask murder.
Batman stopped by and gave baby Helena a teddy
bear and scholarship to any college they picked.
They talked about the new Catwoman.
Angle Man captured Catwoman.

| storyline |
While
Irena was up late with her new daughter, she
received a call from Karon, Holly's girlfriend.
She was worried that Holly hadn't come home
yet.
Catwoman escaped her bindings and went at Angle
Man. She knocked him out after taking one of
his blades in the shoulder. A man on a nearby
rooftop caught the whole thing on his video
camera. When she got home, Holly called Wildcat
(Ted Grant).
Detective Jim Lenahan tracked down Slam Bradley
to talk about Catwoman (he knew she'd killed
Black Mask, but had no proof).
Irena / Selina watched some TV after putting
her daughter to bed. A man calling himself Film
Freak hosted a late-night show showed footage
of Catwoman fighting without her mask.
Film Freak contacted Angle Man about wanting
to do a sequel.

Catwoman
and Wildcat went roof-hopping. Ted gave her
some pointers. Irena had lunch with Slam. She
had Bruce run background checks on nannies before
hiring one. She squeezed into her old costume
for a night on the town. While she was out,
one of the guys Holly took down attacked her
in revenge.
Detective Lenahan got a copy of Film Freak's
Catwoman footage. Film Freak met with Angle
Man. While watching a movie he got a call from
one of his camera men - he was in the process
of filming two Catwomen.

Film
Freak watched his new Catwoman footage and poisoned
the man who'd filmed it. The two Catwomen took
a taxi home; Holly got a call from Ted, who
wanted some help with another take down. After
their success, Wildcat got on to her for using
his real name during combat.
Lenahan realized the Catwoman in the film wasn't
the same one from other evidence photos.
Slam's son visited him at his office.
Film Freak met again with Angle Man - he had
a lead on the "real" Catwoman - Irena
Dubrovna (which was the lead character's name
in an old movie called Cat People).
Selina got a call from her nanny - some men
had broken into the apartment. She got back
into costume and headed home. Angle Man and
Film Freak were holding her daughter hostage.

While
Catwoman (Selina / Irena) froze looking at her child
in Angle Man's arms, Slam called the PD looking
for his son.
Selina killed the lights, grabbed her daughter,
and ran. She took a blade to the ankle as she fled,
allowing her would-be captors to catch up.
Wildcat and Catwoman (Holly) were hanging out on
a rooftop when Green Lantern (Allan Scott) appeared.
He took Wildcat off for some JSA action against
a "future version" of Degation.
Selina crashed Film Freak's camera into his eye
and kicked Angle Man in the face as he fired at
her. After they were both down, she called Holly,
who was in the midst of being arrested by Lenahan.
Selina called Zatanna. |

Instead
of making Angle Man forget, Zatanna made him remember
all his embarrassments.
Holly was read her rights and signed something.
She was shown Black Mask's skull. Lenahan told her
he knew she didn't do it, but she was Catwoman,
and Catwoman killed him. She called Wildcat for
help.
Zatanna finished up and sent her two victims to
go confess their crimes. Angelo Bend went to the
police to confess, Edison (the Film Freak) went
to his studio. He killed his producer.
Selina thought back on visiting Sam Bradley in the
hospital. He took down two men trying to kill him
(with a bit of help from her). |

| Notes,
references to time, and chronology: |
| |
"Young?
Maybe. But she's not much younger than I was when I first
slipped on the costume." (Selina to Batman about Holly,
#53) |
| |
Selina
Kyle, as Irena Dubrovna, gave birth to a girl and named
her Helena. |
| |
Holly
Robinson has taken over the roll of Catwoman by the first
issue (undoubtedly during the missing "52" year).
