Oracle sent help for the Crime Doctor, who was on the run from the Society. Huntress arrived as Killer Croc, Clayface, and the Ventriloquist caught up to him. The Jade Canary (Lady Shiva) came in as more help for Huntress. She took out Croc and threw Scarface from a rooftop. Huntress hit Clayface with some explosive arrows. They got Matt Thorne to the hospital, but he feared for the life of his daughter.
Black Canary was dropped off to the woman who was to be her "mother" - somewhere in Asia (she couldn't tell where). She was rechristened "Tag" and introduced to her new life. A potato sack was placed over her head and several me attacked. She was knocked unconscious and taken away.

The next day, Dinah took on all "mother" sent her way. Without a bag over her head, she was able to defeat them all. Warlords approached the village; Mother ordered Canary to neither fight nor run.
Shiva, Zinda, and Gypsy went to the Crime Doctor's daughter's school to fetch her. Shiva was most impressed with Gypsy's power. As they were getting her into the car, the Society struck with armored flying operatives. They also attacked the hospital where Huntress was watching over the Crime Doctor. Prometheus grabbed the Crime Doctor while Huntress's attention was elsewhere.

Shiva, now wearing Canary's costume, got some information from a captured HIVE agent. They took Bethany (Crime Doctor's daughter) to Creote while following up on the lead. Killer Croc, mending from his last fight with Shiva, was questioned about Prometheus. He gave up the goods, and the Birds found their man. Shiva went in alone and lasted about 3 seconds with him.
Dinah took down the entire battalion single-handedly. Mother told her she invited them, just as she had when Shiva was her student.

Dinah decided to stop the training. She called Ollie for help getting home.
Oracle hacked Prometheus' helmet, but it overloaded her system. When they appeared to get the better of him, Dr. Thorne stopped the fight. Knowing that Prometheus was supposed to kill his daughter while he watched, he saved her by killing himself. Prometheus bid the ladies farewell and vanished. Shiva was also gone - she left a note on the car saying she'd released Dinah from her obligations.
Dinah returned to the Birds with Sin - her "little sister" from training. She would not go on knowing that the girl would be trained to replace Shiva in her place.
Bethany Thorne was given over to social services, but Shiva took her in.
