| Storyline |
Catwoman
went into a museum to score a painting, but it was gone - even though
she'd cased the place shortly before it closed. Police were quick to the
scene and she realized she'd been set up. She escaped with a minor bullet
wound and informed her client of what happened. He didn't believe her and
sent goons after her. She was quick to take them out of the picture and
returned home. An autopsy on one of her cats showed it was killed by
ingesting methamphetamine. Selina's roommate, Arizona, went looking for
the cause of death while Catwoman went looking for answers. She barely
survived a drive-by shooting while questioning some small-time gangsters.
She was able to stop the shooters and vowed to find and take down their
boss. Arizona came home roughed up after encountering the source of their
cat's death.
With Arizona temporarily out of commission, Selina went looking for some
more information. That night, she got a name - Ramon Baracuda. While out,
Catwoman spotted Robin. She got some information on Baracuda from Starkey,
her fence. Selina's car was shot up as she followed a lead from an
inter-connected strip mall.
Selina rammed the car and incapacitated both the driver and shooter. Cops
arrived and she arranged a secret meeting with one of them. Before meeting
him, she checked out Baracuda's home. When she realized he wasn't home,
she looted it. The cop she met was on his payroll and brought friends.
Robin, who'd been following her, helped her out of the situation. Baracuda
single-handedly killed his men who'd failed against Catwoman. One of the
former store owners in the strip mall was bombed. The other owners rioted.
Catwoman went in when the riot began. She got to Baracuda as police began
to arrive. Robin came in, but was quickly knocked out by Baracuda. He left
and Catwoman finally got her painting. She smashed it over Starkey's head
and raided his safe for setting her up. When she got home, Arizona told
her she'd switched the paintings - the one she'd smashed was a fake. |
