storyline Selina, after six months without her costume, visited Dr. Leslie Thompkins and did some soul searching. She built herself a new costume and met with Batman. She was pleased when he told her he believed in her. Holly, a girl from Selina's past, bumped into her. She told her new roommate about the serial killer who was murdering prostitutes.

storyline Catwoman went to Dr. Thompkins for information about the car she'd spotted. Leslie got information from Oracle and sent it on to Selina. Catwoman checked out the man who'd sold the car. She went out to bait the man and found what she believed she was looking for.

storyline Catwoman caught the man - he had been experimented on and was able to temporarily shape-shift. She felt sorry for him and offered to help, but the man attacked her. She was able to subdue him and call Batman, who took care of the rest. Selina asked Holly to quit her "job" and work for her. She made a large donation to Dr. Thompkins' clinic.

storyline Holly let Selina in on a tip she'd received - a local man (Dexter Garcia) was sending kids to South America, filling them full of dope, and sending them back to the States. While investigating, Catwoman bumped into Slam Bradley. Hoping to put a stop to the operation, Catwoman "persuaded" the front man to stop and squeal on his boss (Xavier Dylan). Garcia killed Dylan's driver and bodyguard, then kidnapped him. Police found them, but they were on Dylan's payroll and took care of Garcia.

storyline Holly went out on assignment looking for heroin. She struggled juggling her secret "job" and her friend, Karon. She believed the dealer she was after was actually a cop. She followed him and watched as he was shot by other officers. Holly was shot escaping.

storyline Catwoman arrived before Holly could be finished off by her pursuers. She took down the cops and got her friend to Dr. Thompkins. Detective Allen was assigned to the case - it was the third undercover officer that had been killed in recent months. Selina went to Slam Bradley, who took her to meet a cop named Farrucci. He knew about dirty cops, but didn't want to help. A police sketch of Holly, wanted for murder of the undercover officer, was released to television news.

storyline Catwoman went to one of her former fences looking for leads on the dirty cops and got what she needed. She planted explosives on a police van which was carrying 200lbs of pure dope. Bradley set it off when it was being traded. Catwoman stole their return loot.

storyline Farrucci told Allen about the blown up van with the drugs. Catwoman hit Allen up for a deal - the dirty cops for Holly being cleared. Catwoman got in touch with the true owner of the jewels she'd stolen in the explosion. Allen and Catwoman set up a sting. McNalty (one of the dirty cops) and his gang went for the bait - Slam Bradley. Allen and Catwoman took them down on tape.

storyline Selina visited Bruce Wayne at Wayne Manor to ask him for a favor in getting something built on the East End. After their meeting, she attended an appeal trial for a childhood friend. Her sentence was not overturned and she was to be lethally injected. Catwoman broke her free in transport - authorities believed she was killed in the crash.

storyline Catwoman broke into a mansion, knowing it was a setup. The owner had been a frequent target for her, and she'd stated her place was now thief proof. The owner was also holding a federal agent hostage, trying to get Catwoman information from him. Catwoman ended up humiliating the owner by successfully taking the loot, getting the agent freed, and escaping the feds. The agent who was unable to capture her resigned after that night.

That night, while Slam was feeling out Holly in hopes Selina might be interested in him, Catwoman ran into an old friend who was running the child crime racket they'd both been involved in as children. As Holly walked Slam home, she saw Maggie Kyle.
