Dinah arrived in Gotham City and began her mission to get information on an ecco-terrorist group called the Green Brotherhood. She began putting moves on Nick Devine, a self-made billionaire who'd been their recent target. Back in his hotel room, she learned that Lynx and the Ghost Dragons were Devine's personal security. After helping Lynx stop some attackers, Devine hired her on. The crew flew into the third world country of Dwunda, where Devine was helping with its industrialization. Black Canary moved in on some of the Green Brotherhood trying to sabotage a dam. She stopped them, but Lynx finished their job. The dam was destroyed, devastating a nearby village. Realizing Nick Devine was behind the terrorists (to insure his profit), Oracle tracked him and Canary took him down.
