| Storyline |
Black Canary
and Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) took down some of Mad Hatter's gang. After
questioning one of them, they learned he was a judge. They headed for the
last place he remembered being. Tetch held Jeremiah Arkham hostage there
with plans of controlling him and making him release his patients. Batgirl
and Canary were found and they did battle against their hatted opponents.
They took off for Arkham Asylum in hopes of getting there before Hatter
arrived. Batgirl was captured. When Canary found her, she insisted to know
where to find Batman's hideout. After learning, Canary morphed into
Spellbinder, and the reality of the situation kicked in - Barbara had been
captured and was under hypnosis by Spellbinder. She and her men went to
find the Batcave, but came up empty (Barbara gave them bad information).
Spellbinder returned to her "crippled" hostage, but was taken
down by the well prepared Barbara. Sheriff "Shotgun" Smith
arrived and took Spellbinder in. Oracle contacted Black Canary; Roland
Desmond (Blockbuster) continued his search for Oracle (he'd hired
Spellbinder). |
