| Storyline |
Lex Luthor made a deal with
the Joker - he got an orphanage and Joker got $5million and a month in
Metropolis. The Clown Prince took little time before his first appearance
in the Man of Steel's city, making Superman look silly. Batman and Gordon
discussed their reservations about Luthor's interest in their city. At a
fund raiser for orphans, Bruce and Clark made arrangements to swap cities
temporarily - Kent would do a story on Gotham life; Wayne would look into
property in Metropolis. Superman saved an apartment complex from Luthor
sabotage (they wouldn't sell to him); Batman stopped a Joker robbery.
Gangsters burned down Luthor's new orphanage, and he broke his ties with
the Joker. Joker plotted for New Year's Eve. At the stroke of midnight, he
set off explosions at Lexcorp sites in Metropolis and Gotham. Working
together, Superman and Batman put out the flames. |
