storyline From inside Arkham Asylum, Cornelius Stirk gave an interview to a man writing a book on serial killers. While Arkham was making his rounds and the guard was under his spell, Stirk killed the writer and assumed his identity. Armond Kroll was defeated by Marion Grange in the mayoral election; Seth Voder was elected District Attorney with help from Penguin.

storyline Stirk attended Oswald Cobblepot's mayoral party as the writer. Bruce Wayne attended the party as well after hearing Stirk had escaped (and knowing the writer was invited to the party). Stirk started a fire in the kitchen and escaped with the mayor. Batman met him on the roof and saved Grange, capturing Stirk once more.

storyline Azrael sent a report to Batman - a plague connected to the Order of St. Dumas was on its way to Gotham City. Robin found a plane originating from the area which had just landed in Gotham. Batman went to investigate at a military facility where the Ebola Gulf-A virus was being studied. He found a man in quarantine who'd been accidentally infected.

Poison Ivy continued selling the antidote to the highest bidders inside Babylon Towers. Batman went in after her. Huntress and Nightwing realized Robin had been infected. Gordon met Batman inside looking for Ivy. The antidote failed.

storyline Batman fought Ultimate Clayface; Ventriloquist attacked along with Amygdala and Rhino. Batman felt he was dreaming, but was unable to wake himself. Tally Man came next. Corrosive Man, Mahakala, and others followed. Batman woke up. Narcosis - a new villain - was standing above him. He sprayed Batman with more dream gas and left.

storyline Commissioner Gordon found Batman at the scene, still unconscious. He continued to fight his dreams as Narcosis and company created their poisons. Batman finally awakened and thanked Jim. Narcosis broke into and took over a dairy plant to poison Gotham City's milk.

storyline Batman made it back to the cave still feeling the after-effects of Narcosis' gas attack. Robin searched, but could come up with no leads on the man. Gordon stationed men at possible targets in attempt to catch him. Batman realized they would have to poison something with a short shelf-life. He took them down at the dairy plant.

Huntress continued taking down looters raiding the homes of Clench victims; Robin informed her that she'd be in charge of Gotham City while they were gone. Batman brought Gordon up to speed on the situation.

storyline Bruce Wayne was found by police at the home of Madolyn Corbett - a woman who'd been stalking Wayne. She was dead. While he was being questioned by Gordon and Bullock, Dick went out as Batman and took down some gang bangers trying to rip off a store. Bruce was let go - it was ruled Corbett died of suicide.

Labs and his recreation. He offered Ivy $10million for a blood sample so that he could create offspring between them. Batman tried to crash their party but was captured.
