Batman went after a group of thugs and they opened fire.
The police arrived more quickly than he expected and he
also had to evade their fire. Batman was able to get evidence
on the killer and deliver it to Montoya - the only cop he
believed he could trust.

mayor ordered Commissioner Akins to take down who put
his car through the second story of City Hall. They found
it to be Killer Croc.

while he showed her some detective tricks. They briefly
talked about Stephanie. While watching TV, a reporter
said he had proof Batman trained children and mentioned
