| Storyline |
Bruce Wayne
visited Scotland to witness a ceremony on honor of one of his ancestors.
He noticed a pattern in the breaks on four adjacent tombstones. That
night, Batman investigated and was attacked. A woman who seemed to be able
to control birds helped him get free of the men. She introduced herself as
Sheona, an American teacher looking for her brother. Batman got photos of
the gravesites to Oracle, who linked them to a map. She sent him the
coordinates as their car was attacked. Alfred's driving got them away.
Bruce took a tour of the building depicted in the missing tombstone pieces
(the building was linked to the Knights Templar). One of the members of
the tour group got bored and stormed off. That night, Batman followed the
two men who attacked him into the building. Their leader, the man from the
tour group, was inside already - he'd discovered the treasure room. The
man wearing a plague mask defeated Batman. He'd found an ancient process
that could turn ordinary men into super-humans.
Batman caught up with them on a train. The leader fell with the train's
engine after Batman detatched it from the passenger cars. He was able to
secure the virus the man had planned to unleash on his centuries-old rival
family. At the next stop on Bruce's vacation, he bumped into Sheona. The
castle was attacked by a helicopter, but Sheona stopped her brother's
revenge plot. They were both killed. |
