| Storyline |
Bruce Wayne
was discussing a building project with businesswoman Donna DiForza when
Riddler joined the party. She'd hired him to check out her security.
Batman checked on some squatters in condemned buildings that were on the
land DiForza was to build. The building was bombed by armored troopers.
Batman got the squatters to safety. The armored troops turned out to be a
former East German group hired by DiForza to enforce security on her site.
Batman later tangled with one of the troopers (who'd been deputized by the
GCPD); his armor exploded, killing the man inside. Riddler was fired by
DiForza. Batman, now wanted for murder, sought out Riddler to learn what
he knew about Perfect Security. They were also out to get Riddler, and
they beat Batman to him. Batman swooped in and rescued him. He took him to
a secure place to get some answers. Bruce Wayne convinced DiForza to speak
with the squatters. Perfect Security broke in on their meeting, since
their boss had been "kidnapped" by the squatters. Batman saved
DiForza from the armored troops, who were threatening violence if she
didn't play along. Another battle took place between Batman and Perfect
Security, he believed he could undermine them. With Riddler in hiding, the
police and mayor on their side, and Batman believed dead, Perfect Security
thought they were in control. Batman appeared with the squatters and was
attacked. He escaped and commandeered one of the suits. After studying it,
he found a remote shut-off, which he used to defeat them in their next
battle. Riddler recovered documentation and video evidence on the East
Germans; he was returned to prison for a parole violation. |
