| Storyline |
Commissioner Gordon called
Batman in - there had been a riot at Arkham Asylum; the inmates were in
control. One of the Joker's demands was to have Batman there with them.
Upon his arrival, Joker released the hostages. Some of the doctors
demanded to stay. Joker forced the doctors to ink-blot test Batman, who
stopped the session quickly afterwards. Joker then forced him into a game
of hide-and-seek. Through the game, Batman encountered many of the most
dangerous inmates: Clayface, Mad Hatter, Maxie Zeus, Killer Croc. Through
this, he learned that one of the lead doctors had set the patients free
after discovering and reading a journal left behind by Amadeus Arkham, the
asylum's founder. He'd gone mad, and the journal described it starting at
a young age all the way up through the end of his life. Pinned by the
doctor, Batman received help from another. She killed the mad doctor.
Batman went back into the asylum to confront his foes and his own madness. |
