| Storyline |
Batman tracked
the leader of a terrorist group called the Children of Maya, who'd bombed
a Wayne Enterprises building ten years previous. He'd been tracking her
ever since. He'd followed her to cities throughout the world, only to have
her slip through his fingers. In India, he caught up with her the final
time. After obsessively tracking her without sleep for days, he passed out
when he got to her. He awakened to find her nursing him back to health.
She tried to convince him she wasn't the woman he was looking for, she
tried to convince him she'd changed, she tried to rationalize her actions
by her unhealthy upbringing. She finally gave up and agreed to return to
Gotham City with him. It was a ploy - she'd orchestrated her group to raid
the village and mission she'd been living in. They "kidnapped"
her. The group turned on her and set off four explosions in her village.
She died, as did most of the Children of Maya. |
