One of Wayne
Enterprise's competitors hired Dr. Jonathan Crane to do a
motivational speech for them on fear. Bruce and Sasha attended his
lecture. Even though a troop of Arkham guards were there,
Scarecrow somehow got into costume and gassed the area; Bruce also
got into costume. He gave a rebreather to Sasha, and gave his own
to some civilians caught in an elevator. Batman was affected by
the gas. He took down Scarecrow and met Sasha. He envisioned her
telling him bad things had happened to Alfred, Tim, Leslie, and
Dick. When Bruce returned to his office, he learned Lucious Fox
had suffered a stroke.
+ Batman pursued Madame X. She dosed him
with her own brand of fear gas, but he fought through it. |
