Bruce Wayne had
dinner with Councilman Waldemar and Stuart Bentley. The councilman
boasted that during the last plague, he'd auctioned off the
antidote after stealing it en route to a hospital. The only
records were in a safety deposit box in a bank vault buried in the
cataclysm. Oracle got Batman to the vault, but it had been
completely looted. Babs also had a box there. Batman followed a
lead to the Penguin, who sent him another lead: the third man at
the dinner, Stuart Bentley. Batman got to him before Penguin's men
could and recovered his loot. Barbara told Batman what was in the
letter he'd recovered - it was from her mother to James Gordon
explaining that he could be her birth father. She'd taken it from
her mother before James could read it. |
