| Storyline |
Batman
stormed a factory where there was a hostage situation. He got the
innocents free, but was wounded by gunfire. He lost consciousness on his
way home and awakened to find Talia in the Batcave with him. They got with
Commissioner Gordon on the details of the heist, and learned the men were
associated with an international terrorist named Qayin. The Detective's
next step was to find a Dr. Blaine; he found him murdered. In his hand was
a page torn out of a text book which showed the constellation Algol.
Batman and Talia left for the Demon's Head. There, Batman learned that
Qayin was the murderer of Talia's mother, thus a rival of Ra's al Ghul.
Batman agreed to join Ra's in taking down Qayin; he also agreed to marry
his daughter. The Demon named Batman his second-in-command, and the
Detective began training his men in non-lethal fighting skills. General
Yossid, ruler of Golatia, met with his ally - Qayin. Batman, Talia, and
some troops set out to sabotage a rocket that was to be launched by Yossid.
They failed, and the weather controlling satellite shot into orbit. Talia
told Batman she was pregnant as Qayin mounted an attack on Al Ghul's
stronghold. Qayin's men were defeated, but he survived. During the attack,
Talia told Batman that she'd lost the baby. Al Ghul and Batman led an
attack on Qayin's hideout, destroyed the satellite (which was sending a
hurricane to Moscow), and killed Qayin. After it was all over, Talia broke
it off with Batman and he went back home. She had the baby in secrecy. |
