| Storyline |
Alfred
and Gordon put a stake in Batman's heart, but they did not remove his
head. Alfred removed the stake, loosing the now maddened Batman upon
Gotham. First, he took out (sucked dry, beheaded) the Penguin. Next the
Riddler and Scarecrow. Harvey Dent and Killer Croc asked for a truce from
Alfred and Gordon, so that together they may take down Batman. They were
denied; Batman killed the Black Mask gang. He then went into Arkham Asylum
and killed Amygdala, the Mad Hatter, Zsasz, and the rest of the homicidal
inmates. Gordon made the truce with Two-Face. They set a trap for the
Batman in his batcave. Thinking he was dead, Dent turned on Gordon and
Alfred. Alfred sacrificed himself to Batman so that he could rid the world
of Croc and Dent. He did so, then begged Gordon to kill him. The
Commissioner detonated his bomb, engulfing the cave in sunlight. Gordon
was killed by falling rock, Batman was killed by falling sun. |
