Talia
arrived in the court of Ra's al Ghul to aid him in his newest plan. He
dispatched an agent to kill Batman, and Talia did not object. In Gotham
City, Bruce and Tim attended a lecture by Dr. Brant Carmody, an
environmentalist. Bruce responded to the signal; Gordon showed him a body
that'd been found with a dead bat pinned to it. Batman is lured into a
trap, but he easily defeated the man sent by the Demon (who then committed
suicide). Ra's took an aging former beauty to be his wife. He restored her
with the Lazarus Pit. Batman took a mold of the man who'd attacked him and
found his get-away vehicle. The plane took him back to the Demon's
headquarters on automatic pilot. He witnessed the restoration of Ra's new
mistress and soon made his presence known, then fled for the US. Talia and
crew went after Dr. Carmody, but were thwarted by Batman. He captured
Carmody and Talia, Carmody's son died from gunshot wounds. Ra's attacked
the Batcave and took back his scientist, his daughter, and her estranged
lover. Batman escaped, and with the help of Talia the base was destroyed.
Ra's was left behind to seemingly die in the blast. After dropping Batman
off at home, Talia and her stepmother left. She told her that she was
carrying Ra's child. |
