the all girl gang who'd been distributing the "soul."
While engaging them, she ingested some of the dope. While
tripping, Oracle could not get her to respond. No one but
Nightwing was available, so she sent him for her. When he

A fashion model
was found dead; six others were missing. Batman caught up with
Batgirl and told her he'd take the case - Bruce Wayne had dated
the latest victim at one point. Batman voiced his concerns over
Batgirl to Oracle. She thought he was pushing her too hard.
After seeing a man she recognized from her childhood on TV
discussing the case, Batgirl paid him a visit. He'd been the man
who'd given Cain the idea of raising a child only on body
language. He gave her the "Doll Man's" psychological
profile and what he knew about the killer. She found the man and
the six other girls (drugged, but unharmed). The dead girl had
tried to escape and fell victim to his booby traps. |

Oracle about her, he was beginning to believe she was right
about the way he'd treated her. Batgirl continued her silence
towards them. She caught up with the bad guys - it was a
glorified slavery ring. After she confronted them, she learned

jeopardized the mission. Back on dry land, Batman ordered her to

as the two Bats continued their fight. Robin followed them as

of Gotham City. Nightwing got to them and reported to Oracle
that they were on soul (a new designer drug). He tried to stop
their fight but could not. Robin got the antidote from the
incarcerated Dr. Death and headed to help his friends before one

book for Batgirl and realized it was a manual on the assassin
robot. Batgirl went back in to hold it off while the librarian
looked for the self destruct command. She found it and was
knocked out before she could say it. Batgirl had to have the
