| storyline |
A fashion model was
found dead; six others were missing. Batman caught up with Batgirl
and told her he'd take the case - Bruce Wayne had dated the latest
victim at one point. Batman voiced his concerns over Batgirl to
Oracle. She thought he was pushing her too hard. After seeing a
man she recognized from her childhood on TV discussing the case,
Batgirl paid him a visit. He'd been the man who'd given Cain the
idea of raising a child only on body language. He gave her the
"Doll Man's" psychological profile and what he knew
about the killer. She found the man and the six other girls
(drugged, but unharmed). The dead girl had tried to escape and
fell victim to his booby traps. |
