Storyline: Selina Kyle woke up from a dream where she married Batman. She decided to rob a casino just outside Bludhaven and ran into Nightwing. He realized that she wasn't working for Freddy Minh, who he was staking out. She began to play with him. After they foiled Minh's men, she tried to get him to tell Batman something happened between them to make him jealous.

Storyline: Redhorn returned as chief of police, and Blockbuster was not at all happy about it. Nightwing continued a domestic disturbance call that Officer Grayson was not able to do anything about. He returned home to find that Clancey had been in an accident and was in serious condition. Roland Desmond, still recovering from a heart transplant, got a new recruit in his war against Nightwing - his name was Shrike.

Storyline: Dinah (Black Canary) showed up at Barbara's, which made for an embarrassing moment for the showering Mr. Grayson. Soames planned on using one of the prison guards, Helzinger (aka Amygdala), to escape (he knew his past). Shrike captured Nightwing.

Storyline: Shrike fingerprinted Nightwing so that he could learn his identity and deduce Batman's (since he knew Nightwing used to be Robin). Dick realized that the real Shrike was dead; this was one of his students named Boone. Oracle was able to divert the fingerprint scan to someone else's name. Nightwing escaped his bindings, but still faced Boone and his men.

Storyline: Nightwing began searching for Freddy Minh. He snuck into Minh's home and found babies in incubators. Mrs. Minh revealed to him that they were the embryos that he'd saved from Black Mask's gang during his first days in Bludhaven. She also revealed to him that she'd killed Freddy years ago. She asked Nightwing to leave her home and not return.
