Storyline: Deadman happened upon a government plane which was going to be trading arms for cocaine. He possessed the pilot and contacted their destination with what cargo they were carrying.
He then headed back down to their base - an ancient Mayan temple - and was seen by their section chief, Major Grace Kasaba.

Storyline: Deadman claimed to be the Mayan god Talaoc, whom was said to inhabit the ruins. The surprise was on him - Talaoc possessed the section chief. She fired on Deadman, who easily escaped, then called a meeting of her troops. She informed them that a trickster god had been dispatched to foil their plans. She prepared a sacrifice - the man who Deadman was now possessing.
Deadman removed himself, then Talaoc removed himself from Kasaba.

Storyline: Deadman spoke with Talaoc high above the ruins. The two were alike - Talaok had not been a god. He'd been killed by an alien race, and their equipment was hidden inside the ruins.

Storyline: One of the troops managed to get into the UFO and blast off. Deadman was unable to help him land the craft and it continued its flight. Back on Earth, Kasaba fired one of the weapons found with the ship. Deadman was paralyzed and made a captive.
The group headed home to Virginia where they planned to duplicate or control the "entity."

Storyline: Deadman was able to break free from his captivity and possess a guard. One of the higher-ups showed him a container that held a more powerful entity. Deadman's curiosity got the best of him and he opened it. He refused to let the entity out, so it dragged him in and welcomed Deadman to Hell.

Storyline: A creature claiming to be the devil showed Deadman around Hell. After a bit, he ran into DB Cooper, who was planning an escape. The two "men" headed through a desert en route to a mountain. Deadman hoped he could use the alien weapons to destroy Satan.

Storyline: DB Cooper led Deadman up the side of a ravine and warned him not to speak to the old man in the cave. Deadman beat him there and saw the man. He was the Sensei. The man told him DB Cooper was actually the Sensei, and Deadman saw his face clearly. He tossed the Sensei over the edge. He then tossed the other man over. The real "old man in the cave" appeared and led Deadman to the exit from Hell.

Storyline: Deadman escaped back through the urn in which he'd entered Hell. He learned that what appeared to be Satan himself had also escaped. He managed to get into the body of the CIA's director and steal some of the ancient alien weapons. As the CIA director, he attended a reception for the Soviet Premier.

Storyline: At the gala, Deadman left the body of the director and got into the US President, as Satan was in the Soviet Premier's body. The two argued before swapping into their wives' bodies. Deadman stormed off and got his gun.

Storyline: Deadman shot at the Premier's wife, who was Satan's host. He missed and jacked another body. He got inside Kasaba and headed back to her place. The CIA knew he was around. Kasaba recognized when he left her and she questioned him. He got into a guard, and "Satan" arrived in the CIA director's body. Then another arrived saying "Satan" was merely a demon named Yakin.

Subtitle: Chapter 11: Will the Real Devil Please Stand Up?

Storyline: Satan proved he was who he said and removed the demon from the director and sent him back to hell. The director had a heart attack when Satan showed his true self. Word got out that something was approaching Earth - it was the race who'd landed centuries before (who had the temple built around their ship). They were returning to gather their gear.

Storyline: The aliens spoke with Deadman and asked him to greet them. They believed he was a member of their original landing party. They landed and demanded their weapons and their leader. Deadman convinced them that Satan was their leader and they took him. When Deadman left his last body, the CIA decided someone had slipped them some hallucinogenic drugs.
