Fries' home was wrecked when a submarine came
up under it. Nora's body was broken from its
containment - her disease became active again.
Mr. Freeze went out in search of something that
could help her, though only an organ transplant
would. Barbara Gordon was the best/only chance
Fries had at saving his wife, so he kidnapped
her while she was out with Dick Grayson. Dick
put up a fight, but couldn't save her. As Fries
and an old colleague readied for surgery, Batman
and Robin showed up. The wild rampage ended
up in flames as the oil derrick which was to
house the surgery caught fire. Batman and Robin
saved Barbara, Nora, and Fries' child helper,
but it appeared that Fries himself died. Two
weeks later, Nora Fries was revived and healed. |
