The
Joker escaped from Arkham when one of his men posed
as his mother and gassed the staff with a fake Bible.
The same night, Robin went out on his first night
in Gotham alone. As he was about to head home, he
saw the signal and met Gordon atop police headquarters.
He was floored by the news.
Joker met up with his old gang to find out that
Mr. Freeze had taken them over. Freeze was no match
for him. After he was out of the picture, Joker
began going over his plans.
After school, Robin met up with Gordon and checked
out Joker's cell. He'd been reading a lot of computer
magazines. He staked out the home of a man who'd
written many of the articles. Joker attacked him
with a snow plow as he got into his car. Robin jumped
on it's roof, and Joker flipped out when he learned
that Robin was still alive. He leapt off and got
back to Alfred's van with the news - Joker had abducted
Dr. Osgood Pellinger. |

Robin
went out with a rigged hologram unit to make it
appear that Batman was with him.
A would-be actress answered an audition call at
an abandoned theater. Joker was her new director.
With Alfred and the hologram projector nearby, Robin
swooped in to save a potential suicide. It was the
actress. He saved her as Joker and his goons did
some damage at a nearby telephone company. After
they were finished, Joker spotted "Batman"
atop a roof and opened fire. Robin swooped down
on the clown, who soon realized he wasn't the same
Robin. Joker escaped when the police arrived, but
Robin made it out alive. |

Joker
sent a tape to the police taking credit for the
craziness going on - police getting deductions on
their paychecks, firefighters getting laid off,
blackouts, and extra taxes placed on businesses.
Knowing that Batman was away, Joker planned something
big for the next day's football bowl game. He took
over the jumbo-tron and demanded $1billion from
Gotham City in one week - and he wanted Batman to
deliver it.
Tim got the computers in the cave cracking, hoping
to find the Joker's home location. He got into the
program, but it infected his computer - Joker knew
who was trying to hack him.
Robin checked out Pellinger's home looking for clues.
As the city began to crumble, Joker gave the final
details on how he wanted his money. |

Robin
set his plan in motion with Alfred's help. He planned
to lure Joker out with the ransom money, then get
to Pellinger. The truck was moved by remote control
onto a bridge the Joker specified.
Pellinger responded to Alfred's bait; Alfred notified
Gordon.
Joker saw the hologram of Batman in the truck and
detonated the bridge. Robin moved in on him as he
dug through the rubble and found the dummy Batman.
Joker ran, Robin gave chase and trapped him in a sewage
plant. The drugged Pellinger was rescued by police.
Batman returned home. |
