Superman
and Wonder Woman met Batman in the cave to discuss membership
to the new Justice League. Captain Marvel, Red Tornado,
Nightwing, Green Lantern (Hal), Supergirl, Flash,
Power Girl, Mr. Terrific, the Atom, Vixen, and
Hawkman were all discussed.
Kathy Sutton visited Dr. Magnus, who'd pieced the Red
Tornado back together. She hoped his soul would once
again join the robot body. Platinum asked her questions
about love. Hovering above the table unseen were John's
soul and Deadman.
Roy and Hal spent some time together for the first time
since Jordan had been back from the dead. Roy hit him
with some old man jokes, but Hal said he may be younger
than Roy now. They headed out to meet Dinah and Kathy,
who was not taking it well that Red Tornado hadn't returned
yet (he'd died and returned seven times so far).
Jefferson Pierce (Black Lightning) met with one of his
informants.
Boston Brand showed Reddy a body that was a "duplicate"
of Multiplex, a guy who could make doubles of himself.
His head was shaved and he had green eyes. Reddy entered
the body. He felt taste and smell for the first time.
He also was still in control of his powers. After he
left, Deadman turned out to be Felix Faust.
Vixen got a note from the Question and began to look
for him.
Ollie was happy for Roy when he realized he'd been picked
for the new team.
Gold and Platinum were decapitated. Their attacker took
the robot Red Tornado body and used his father box to
escape.
John Smith returned home to Kathy and Traya. |

Red
Tornado's robot head was dissected.
Bruce, Diana, and Clark continued their discussion in
the cave. Firestorm, Firehawk, Nightwing (who'd already
been asked, but declined), Green Arrow (Ollie), Dr.
Light (the female), Booster Gold, Batman
Black Canary, Green Arrow, and Arsenal headed to the
Rockies to find who'd stolen Red Tornado's body.
Vixen encountered the Electrocutioner and Plastique,
who were together calling themselves the Bomb Squad.
They snatched her totem and disappeared through a boom
tube.
Black Lightning hit up Cavalier for some information
on the Bomb Squad. Pierce was clued in on an outfit
that could take powers away temporarily. It turned out
to be Parasite.
Red Tornado, John Smith, continued to savor human feelings
and senses.
Canary, GL, and Arsenal found Professor Ivo. He'd rebuilt
some of Morrow's prototypes - several Tornado-bots attacked
them. |

Trident
and Dr. Impossible attacked Black Lightning. After taking
him down, they boom-tubed out. Hawkgirl arrived to lend
a hand to Black Lightning.
Red Tornado went to Boston Brand's grave, but found
the Phantom Stranger there instead.
Black Canary, Green Lantern, and Arsenal finished up
the Tornado prototypes and headed downstairs for Ivo.
Bruce, Clark, and Diana continued to discuss possible
members: Black Lightning, Cyborg.
Lightning and Hawkgirl brought Trident to the cave -
he had a star attached to the back of his neck. |

Every
one knew it was Starro; Superman was only able to pull
off one of the "legs." Batman checked it out and found
that under the organic bit was tech. It appeared to
be Ivo's work, but well beyond anything anyone had done
before.
Red Tornado's wife tried to talk him out of jumping
right into action; Vixen continued looking for her totem.
Green Lantern, Arsenal, and Black Canary found their
suspects - Starros were attached to their necks, too.
In the next room, they found the Red Tornado. Ivo warned
them, but they refused to listen. His body was now the
"new Amazo." The real Red Tornado (in human form) arrived
on the scene and was promptly knocked out by Solomon
Grundy.
Elsewhere, Brion Markov's (Geo-Force) boat crashed.
He was able to swim to land. |

Grundy,
who'd regenerated this time with intelligence, wanted
Amazo's body to help him replace Ivo as an immortal
(there were always 13, and Ivo was tired of being one
of them).
Geo-Force got himself checked out by a doctor.
Vixen, who'd lost herself with a flock of birds (unable
to focus without her totem), got close enough to a human
to regain her senses.
Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Hawkgirl, and Black
Lightning showed up to back GL, Canary, Arsenal, and
Reddy.
Amazo turned out to not yet be complete. The memory
dump which was taking place when he awakened left much
of Red Tornado in him. He went "home," where Kathy blasted
him with Apokolips tech (given to everyone's family
by Barda). Ivo teleported the heroes to Smith's home;
Grundy grabbed Red Tornado and kept him from joining
them. 8 |

Geo-Force
found himself in his old brown costume. He had Declan
ready their jet for Gotham City.
The League fought Amazo. Wonder Woman tied him, GL and
Batman began cutting into his legs.
While beating on the Red Tornado, Grundy confessed they
only put him in a human body so they could finally kill
him. Vixen homed in on her totem, which was attached
to Amazo. She dive-bombed him, leaving him "disassembled."
With Kathy watching through the teleportation tunnel,
Grundy ripped off Red Tornado's arm and ate it. Tornado
hit him with the force of an F5 and ripped him in half.
The League got the teleportation tunnel opened, and
Kathy held him as he died in his human body.
After Phantom Stranger and Zatana gave support, he reawakened
in a new robot body. |

Black
Lightning met Batman in the cave. He invited him to
join the new League, which would be comprised of everyone
who was involved with the Amazo / Grundy situation.
Hal gave Roy a new costume - identical to Ollie's, but
red. He joined the League as Red Arrow.
Geo-Force met with Black Lightning - he believed he
may be going crazy, and he'd gained his sister's (Terra)
powers. Superman introduced Lightning to the new headquarters
in Washington, DC. It had some sort of direct teleportation
to the satellite.
Elsewhere, Starro tracked down Professor Ivo. Batman
ID'ed Trident as a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes
from the 31st Century: Karate Kid. |
