possess citizens throughout the city. They attacked the
heroes, but the ancient one let loose his hold when he
believed he'd destroyed what Hawkgirl was looking for.
Batman gave her the information she needed and she headed
to Metropolis for more information. |

arrived in Metropolis in time to see her target explode.
Superman was able to recover a disc (he'd been warned
by Batman that she was on her way) labeled "hold
for Hawkgirl."
She took it to Oracle, who was able to decrypt it -
it was a complete text thought to be lost to the ages.
Hath-set prepared to resurrect his lost love. Hawkgirl
fell into his trap. He loaded a ship up with artifacts
and pointed them to Alexandria.
Hawkman got on their trail after being tipped off by
Oracle.

used deception to escape her temporary tomb. The ship
arrived in Egypt; Hath-set's people began reconstructing
a tomb. Hawkman attacked and was captured. Hawkgirl began
doing battle with Hath-set, but lost the upper hand when
her sword shattered. |

Shiera
awakened in Kendra's body and continued the battle against
Hath-set. Hawkman destroyed the bodies of Hath-set's "sons"
so he could not resurrect them, then escaped. Together,
they destroyed their tormentor.
Shiera said good-bye to Carter and gave way to Kendra.
The two hawks flew off together into the sunset. |
