A
news program marked the one year anniversary of the
Amsterdam Disaster in Star City. Green Arrow helped
some during the disaster, but had not been seen since
the explosions.
A group hoping to "salvage" the city called
a hit on its new mayor. The mayor's advisors were
for helping those still in need since the disaster,
while outsiders wanted to rebuild Star City with casinos,
etc.
Danny Brickwell, aka Brick, killed a man who was preying
on a couple walking home from grocery shopping. Thugs
opened fire on him, but their bullets simply bounced
off him. An arrow hit him with a note: "nice
work, but stop killing them."
Deathstroke was hired to kill Star City's mayor, Oliver
Queen. |

Mayor
Queen held a press conference: he had no political
aspirations higher than the position he currently
held; half his staff had quit (or had been fired)
over the "Willobeigh Renovation Project,"
gay marriage was not a question - the laws of Star
City said the mayor could marry any two persons. He
said mass weddings would be held each Friday, but
only if the participants had co-habitated in Star
City for two weeks prior. With all the media outlets
in the city gone, he planned on getting attention
from elsewhere. He promised to get Star City back
on its feet.
A "situation" arose at The Wall (a wall
erected to help move heavy equipment into the city
/ keep the poor isolated - Queen had promised to tear
it down). Green Arrow appeared, stopping the rumors
of his death. He stopped the police from opening fire
on the demonstrators and got them to safety.
Queen headed back to his office to make a statement
about GA. Inside, he found Deathstroke. |

An
arrest warrant was issued for Green Arrow.
Deathstroke hit Queen's right-hand-man with nerve
toxin. Ollie was hit by a dart. He was able to pull
it loose and detonate a charge in his desk. Deathstroke
was thrown into the wall behind him. Ollie, seemingly
prepared for him, pulled out a bow and attacked his
would-be assassin. Deathstroke realized he'd been
set up when he was hit with a huge adhesive arrow
and dumped into a pit. Queen, now in costume, jumped
in after him and pulled out a sword. Wilson realized
he'd retrained himself in the last year and attempted
to flee. Atop the pit, the National Guard waited for
him to make a move. Deathstroke had been defeated. |

surrendered. The National Guard came down, stripped
him, placed him in containment, and carted him away.
Tuckman, OQ's right-hand-man, questioned his financials.
They were then shown footage of Brick in the 'Glades.'
Green Arrow showed up to help him fend of what appeared
to be zombies. |

As
they fought, Brick saw the change in Green Arrow.
After they took down all the "zombies,"
GA noticed they all had track marks.
Slade Wilson shrugged off his defense - he planned
to plead guilty. While being taken back to his cell,
he killed one of his guards.
Brick and GA found the master stash of the bad drugs.
GA took one case to analyze, they set to destroy the
rest. While doing so, they were attacked by more zombies.
As their options ran out, Speedy arrived to help. |

News
broke that Green Arrow and Brick were fighting together
and that Speedy had joined them. As their fight with
the zombies raged on, a news show debated on how long
Queen would stay in office before being removed. Some
believed he was a savior, some an abomination.
Green Lantern (Jordan) arrived to lend a hand against
the zombies. He gathered up 156 of them. They took
them to STAR Labs; GL offered to removed the wall
- Ollie declined. As Speedy got ready to leave, Ollie
asked about Connor again.
Oliver Queen visited with Theodore Davis, head of
the Willobeigh Consortium. He confronted the man by
telling him he knew he was behind the assassination
attempt and the bad drugs in the Glades. He had proof
- one of the Senior VPs came to Queen with the dirt.
Instead of having them all arrested, Queen made demands
(or rather blackmail).
Slade Wilson was sentenced to life and placed in Alcatraz
(which had been refurbished into a meta prison). Inside,
he met up with Constantine Drakon, who had inside
dirt on Queen / GA. |
