Elongated
Man did battle with Copperhead while in Paris until
Warp appeared and teleported the villain away. Ralph
smelled a mystery. Sue dragged him away - they had
a diplomatic event to attend that night.
While Ralph was busy making a spectacle of himself,
Sue bumped into Archduke Bito of Modora. A man in
a giant snail attacked the conference. He called himself
L'escargot. He killed Ambassador Choux, but was later
stopped by Bito.
After things calmed down, Bito invited the Dibnys
to visit Modora with him, but they declined. He seemed
a bit taken with Sue. It was later learned that the
blow to L'escargot's head gave him amnesia.
That night, Sue told Ralph she wanted to go to Modora. |

Bito
gave the Dibnys a tour of his country, including the
Sonic Research Institute. They used sonic power for
everything from weapons to flying cars. Modora was
a mix of 19th century and 21st century.
That evening in their room, Ralph put two and two
together: Bito was Bito Wladon - Sonar - a criminal
who called himself the master of sound. Sue assured
him Sonar was in jail. Ralph did some snooping and
found Sonar's costume in the palace.
At dinner, Bito told them that Sonar was a relative
of his and had stolen many of his inventions to use
in his crimes.
A man dressed as a squid attacked a conference in
Rome. Ralph wanted to go investigate, but Sue was
much more interested in staying with Bito.
Copperhead, Warp, and the squid guy attacked Ralph
as he walked through Rome. |

Flash
was there for an assist with the bad guys - Sue called
him thinking Ralph was probably in over his head.
Once defeated, the squid guy (Calamari) told Ralph
that he didn't know who'd hired them, there was simply
a summons for all super criminals in Europe to stop
the conferences.
Bito turned off all the phones and televisions in
the palace so that Sue would not be able to call for
help or see what was going on in the world (he knew
she'd called Flash).
Wally took Ralph to the next conference in Berlin.
Once he left, Ralph got into full-on Elongated Man
costume for his investigation.
Sue had a curious run-in with an American scientist
she met while shopping. He was a scientist working
at the Sonic Research Institute. She began trying
to talk to the local people, but all they would say
was "goot mornink." Word got to Bito that
she was writing notes to them (since all sounds were
monitored). Bito ordered her husband killed in the
next attack.
Men dressed as sausages attacked. The Italian delegate
was captured. |

The
sausage guys' truck hit Elongated Man with sound.
When he gathered himself, he heard Bito's voice. He
was behind the plot to stop Europe '92 and he was,
in fact, Sonar. He threatened Sue if Ralph did anything
else to stop him.
Sonar told Sue that the "Sonar" in the American
jail was sent by him (with some of his weapons) to
make the world believe he was not a threat.
Elongated Man parachuted himself back into Modora;
Sonar suited up to go after him personally. The army
found him, but he evaded them and made his way into
the palace. He stretched himself thin and used his
body to return the fire from their sonic weapons.
As her husband fought Bito, Sue got on the intercom
and encouraged the people of the country to revolt
against their tyrant. When Bito saw his own people
about to attack his palace, he flew away.
The Europe '92 Conference would face no more setbacks. |
