A
woman named Glenda followed Jason Blood to England.
He'd been summoned there by Merlin. She wanted to help
him, but he shrugged her off. She'd stolen a stone and
a book from his home. She read a passage to him from
the book, but he said it did not describe Etrigan. They
decided to call out the demon.
A binding circle was drawn and Etrigan was called. He
also could not see the item Glenda attempted to show
him. She asked him how they could free Jason. Etrigan
mentioned an enemy. Glenda used the philosopher's stone
to summon Morgaine LeFey - in statue form from Jason's
apartment. When she moved to place the statue in Etrigan's
circle, he bit the arm off it. He admitted he and the
stone still answered to Merlin.
Etrigan left, leaving Jason Blood. Glenda told him Etrigan
wanted them to go to Ireland.
In Ireland, they entered a cave and found the book they
sought. A demon attacked them. Blood let loose Etrigan. |

Etrigan
defeated the attacking creature, but the book was destroyed.
He told Glenda the last copy of the book they sought
was in a British museum, hidden by magick. Jason returned.
After being turned away by the museum's curator, Jason
told Glenda he'd break in after dark. He grabbed it
successfully and translated it that night. They came
up empty - it answered nothing for them. Glenda pondered
summoning Etrigan and holding him back with the stone.
Jason reluctantly complied. While doing so, a blue demon
emerged from their hotel mirror and grabbed her.
Etrigan was unable to stop the demon from abducting
Glenda. |

Jason
Blood returned to Gotham City and visited his friend,
Harry. He told him everything, and Harry agreed to rent
him warehouses space to summon Belial. A few days later,
they were ready. Jason had finished painting his containment
circle. Belial was summoned and admitted that Etrigan
was his son who had been enslaved to his other son -
Merlin.
Jason demanded Glenda back, and his concentration faltered.
Harry was taken by Belial, then both disappeared. Glenda
lay in the circle when the smoke cleared.
He drug her outside the circle. Once back inside, he
called upon Etrigan who told Glenda of a way to defeat
Merlin. When Jason returned, he told her Etrigan came
forth of his own doings - he had not summoned the demon. |

Back
in Britain, Jason entered the castle while Glenda waited
outside. He neared the tomb and awakened a winged demon.
With his back against the wall, Etrigan emerged. The
demon destroyed it and several others before giving
way to Jason Blood. Blood made it to Merlin's tomb and
entered.
The old wizard had awakened. Blood demanded Merlin release
him of his burden, but he refused. Using music, Blood
entranced him and led him outside the castle to Glenda.
Merlin shattered; Etrigan and Blood were free of each
other. Glenda held the philosopher's stone up to Etrigan,
who had his once-host by the throat. He threatened them
both and flew off. |
