Cosmic
Boy (of the Legion of Superheroes) arrived in New York
City during the time of the anti-superhero movement.
He fell unconscious; Night Girl saved him from an angry
mob. He woke up in their hotel room wondering why Superman
didn't recognize him - they'd known each other when
he was Superboy (though that was from another past /
future).
They got some time appropriate clothes and checked out
some video - it appeared that there had never been a
Superboy. The more "history" they viewed,
the more they realized it had all been rewritten. In
attempt to make things right for their own future, Cosmic
Boy saved an orbiter that was being launched. Something
had gone wrong and it was set to self-destruct. When
he landed it safely, he was placed under arrest. He
escaped as they opened fire. |

Cosmic
Boy was blamed for the failed launch of the orbiter.
He and Night Girl continued to search for answers -
the events of the "past" were all different
from what they'd studied in the future. They went to
Houston to investigate the equipment he'd saved. When
they got on site, they were met by a man named Jason.
He thanked Cosmic Boy for saving the device; he designed
it. He felt that the failure was accident, not sabotage.
A riot - much like the one at the launch site - erupted
outside. Cosmic Boy and Night Girl stopped it and flew
off. |

The
two Legionnaires hopped into their time bubble and headed
home. En route, their bubble crashed into something
in the time stream and they landed back in 1986. They
went to Jason Krinnski for help in repairing their vehicle.
After repairs, they headed out again, only to fail a
second time. A third attempt was made, this time with
Cosmic Boy using his own magnetic powers to break through
the time barrier.
It worked. Too well. They headed past their on present,
into the future, all the way to the end of time. There,
they stood before the Time Trapper. |

The
Time Trapper gave his captives 60 minutes to get home.
If they didn't, they'd serve him for all eternity. They
fought through his best and he allowed them to leave.
As they did so, he vowed it would be the last time they
traveled through time.
The Time Trapper watched with his captives - Superboy
and Krypto. |
