Dinah
and Ollie were having money problems - the flower
shop wasn't doing well and he wasn't working. She
headed to the mountains to get away and told him to
figure out how they were going to pay rent.
Aunty Wren introduced her to Gan "Duke"
Nguyen, a local radio host and translator. Dinah gave
him a ride back to Seattle. They stopped for coffee
on the way back, and he was attacked and drug away
by two men. Black Canary appeared and took care of
the two men. Gan later found a strand of the blonde
wig in Dinah's hair. |

Senator
Garrenger put a contract out on Nguyen, who'd been
taking on drug pushers near the waterfront. The senator
was a guest on Gan's radio show that night and the
interview didn't go so well. Dinah began checking
into Garrenger, and found his son had been arrested
for possession recently.
Gan did his next radio show on location - at a crack
house. He was shot by a sniper; Black Canary went
after the shooter. "Drake" (the shooter)
took down two of his associates. He put his gun in
another man's hand and made his escape.
Black Canary found another shell casing across the
street. |

Dinah
blamed Gan for the two dead people - if not for his
demonstration, the wouldn't have been killed.
Canary later rechecked the crime scene. She and Gan
moved in on Drake and connected him to Loren Garrenger,
son of Senator Garrenger. Drake took a shot at them.
He grappled Gan, and put a gun to his head. It misfired
and Black Canary captured him.
Drake was shot in the head by a sniper when she delivered
him to police.
They later took down a boat with a shipment of drugs
and moved in on some white supremacists. They captured
Gan and Black Canary. |

Gan
and Black Canary escaped when she used a lantern to
set fire to a stack of money.
Black Canary told the local sheriff that there was
a cocaine operation in the community, but he laugh
and sent her out of his office.
One of the assassins's sons bailed on his father and
went to help Gan - his father's target.
Black Canary altered her disguise a bit and crashed
her boat into the cocaine shipment. The ship workers
saved her and brought her aboard. She began taking
them down one by one from inside.
Gan brought coast guard and news crews to the boat.
The assassin was shot dead by his son, so no one could
implicate the senator, but the shipment was stopped. |
