Bruce
Wayne attended a wedding party thrown by Carmine
"The Roman" Falcone. He refused to help
the mob boss in a business venture. As he and Selina
Kyle were leaving the party, they found Harvey Dent
roughed up in the parking lot. After they helped
him up, Bruce told Selina he believed in Dent and
had contributed to his campaign for district attorney.
Dent went to Gordon.
That night, both Batman and Catwoman went for the
same safe in the Falcone residence. They fought,
which brought in Falcone's muscle. He put a $1 million
price on the heads of them both. Though Batman gave
chase, Catwoman escaped. He met Gordon and Dent
at the signal. They all agreed Falcone must be taken
down by the book.
Richard Daniel resigned his post as a bank president
after being persuaded by the Batman. Falcone could
no longer launder his money easily. Daniel was gunned
down on a city street. Johnny Viti, Falcone's nephew
was shot twice in his bathtub. Batman met with Gordon
and Dent again. After being tipped off by Catwoman,
Batman took Dent to the warehouse where Falcone
had been stockpiling his cash. They burned the place
down. The same night - Halloween - Dent's house
was bombed. |

Thanksgiving, Batman and Gordon questioned Mickey
"the Mink" Sullivan. They knew he was
the bomber, but wanted him to squeal on who hired
him. He refused, but insinuated that it was revenge
for Dent having killed Viti. Sullivan and his four
accomplices were charged, but made bail in less
than an hour. Harvey (not dead) spent Thanksgiving
at the hospital with his wife. Gordon went home
to find everyone already in bed.
Sullivan and his crew were gunned down while having
their Thanksgiving meal. |

While
on their way to speak to Julian Day (The Calendar
Man) in Arkham, Gordon told Batman that Joker had
escaped. Day was no help to them.
Joker went after Maroni, accusing him of being the
Holiday Killer - he had the most to gain by knocking
off Falcone's family. Joker then hid out in Dent's
house waiting for him to bring Gilda back home from
the hospital. He threatened the DA and escaped.
The mad clown then hit the Falcone home saying Gotham
City wasn't big enough for two homicidal maniacs.
Falcone's bodyguard, Milos, was Holiday's Christmas
kill. |
