Storyline: Batman returned to the cave after a rough and busy night. He and Alfred worked out some bugs in the new car and he went back out. Robin bailed him out when he was outmatched by a group which appeared to be the False Face Society.

Storyline: Batman learned Harvey Dent had escaped from the newly rebuilt Arkham Asylum. Two-Face broke into his old apartment and stole some stashed files. Batman met with Commissioner Essen-Gordon, who told him she'd be moving to a new position under new mayor Marion Grange. Batman tracked Two-Face to a circus owned by one of Dent's untried cases.

Storyline: Batman was able to defeat the strong man and knife thrower. He went after Two-Face and Lockhart (the circus owner). Two-Face set up his trial, which was broken up by Batman. Victims safe and criminals captured, the police arrived.

Storyline: [continued from Azrael 15]
Gotham City had been quarantined. Robin delivered the blood to Batman, who began working with it in attempt to create an antidote. Azrael soon arrived with a second blood sample. Nightwing offered his services in the battle. Batman got Poison Ivy out of Arkham so that she (being completely immune to all things) could deliver the antidote to the residents of Babylon Towers. Nightwing and Robin attempted to stop rioters outside the strong hold; Huntress joined them as Ivy entered. The police went to James Gordon for leadership.

Storyline: Batman took down a pawn shop owner and three possible buyers of stolen Incan treasure. One of the men shot the back of his head off. Deadman - Boston Brand - possessed one of the men who was later killed outside. He was working on the case of the stolen artifacts. In the dead guy's body, Brand talked to Batman. They set off for Peru after finding a map.

Batman, Nightwing, and Robin landed in the desert and found the entrance point Azrael described. After taking out the guards, Batman found what appeared to be a map, and guided through the maze. At the end of the tunnel, they were met by three shadows.

Oracle contacted Batman in Calcutta and directed him to help. He met Lady Shiva. The pair found Ra's al Ghul's agents at a festival and Batman kept the virus from being let loose.

Storyline: Batman began working a murder case which quickly became a serial killer case. Doctors once involved in genetic experiments on humans and apes were being killed by a pair of their failed subjects. Batman took down the last remaining doctor instead of his victim.

Subtitle: Darkest Night of the Man-Bat part one - Predation

Storyline: Man-Bat was on the prowl. Batman found Francine Langstrom unconscious in their home. He later encountered Man-Bat when he attacked some mobsters Batman was taking down. Man-Bat fled, saying he'd never return to Gotham City.

Subtitle: Darkest Night of the Man-Bat part two - Pursuit

Storyline: Man-Bat was found at the North Pole, frozen solid. He'd been lured there by a scientific experiment on harmonics. The project heads got info on him from Gordon, who told Batman the news. Man-Bat thawed out and was still alive. Batman found him, but the beast eluded him.
